A $230 keyboard. Am I insane?

I’m considering buying a keyboard for $230. But not just any keyboard. The Rolls Royce of ergonomic keyboards—-the Kinesis Contoured USB Advantage.

My fingers are starting to hurt and I figure that it is an investment against future (or scarily current) RSI. Think of it not just as an input device but as health insurance.

Or should I just grab a Microsoft Shaped keyboard for around $50. After all they make great hardware.

Am I insane? Please comment or trackback and let me know.

I can’t believe these things are still around. i remember getting pictures of these things faxed to Dave’s dad when we were in 9th grade. Get a MS ergo keyboard. This thing does not have a numpad…

Yeah. They are long standing … I really don’t need a number pad. I’ve never had one and never used one (wait that goes together, right) And they make the keyboard off centre wrt the monitor—-all though I guess I could always move them.

They have a 60-day money back guarantee so I’m still tempting to try it out …
