Chocolate City movin'

For the past 4 years I’ve listened to the best two shows on Radio. Metropolis with Jason Bentley and Chocolate City with Garth Trinidad on KCRW.

Running back-to-back in the 8-10, 10-12 west coast slots they’ve worked beautifully with my daytime music listening when I worked in Australia and with my late-night studying in the ‘cuse. I found this station in LA and have been an internet member ever since.

Chocolate City is moving to once a week on Saturdays and this is just casting a big ol’ “thanks, mate” out into the ether for Garth. You tunes and attitude keep me diggin’ on good music and I know that I’ll be cueing up a few scripts to grab the old shows and iPod them for prosperity ;)

Thankfully Metropolis ain’t going anywhere ( Jason just won three DanceStar awards) and Raul Campos is taking over the Choc spot so I expect more good things from KCRW.

For those who haven’t experienced these shows head on over the site and check them out. Metropolis brings “The hypnotic pulse of modern city life” while Chocolate City rounds it out with “Progressive mix of soul, hip hop, and world rhythms”.

Recently KCRW caught some flack for handling a DJ who breached the stupid obscenity bollucks but their latest press release show the situation to be more (well less) than it seemed
